Empire: Pregnant Paws—Boo Boo Kitty is Back!

Truth be told, I was starting to wonder what happened to Grace Gealey because Empire barely used Boo Boo Kitty this season. Watching her work so hard to get in with Cookie Lyon was dismal and out-of-character. Aside from unfortunate twerking or whatever she was supposed to do to appeal to investor Mimi Whiteman and some off-screen sapphic action—which Mimi says was subpar—Miss Kitty got nothing to do. She finally has a story and was up to her old antics last night. It went like this:
The Audience: Hi Boo Boo Kitty!
Boo Boo Kitty: Hi.
The Audience: Why are you holding a knife?
Boo Boo Kitty: Just messing with you. I’m also holding a pregnancy test.
The Audience: A baby! Are you sure?
Boo Boo Kitty: I am surrounded by a ridiculous number of tests. Pepsi got some blatant product-placement this episode, but First Response ™ needs to pay me because I clearly bought out Walgreen’s. You can be certain about this pregnancy plot unlike with Rhonda, who can dig up corpses, work on Bowflex and is still not showing. #SideEye
The Audience: Now what?
Boo Boo Kitty: I’ll go tell Hakeem the news. Hi, Hakeem!
Hakeem: Hi. I’m in love with that boring virgin who sang “Blue Bayou” at karaoke. We still cool, right? Did you have something to tell me?
Boo Boo Kitty: Nope. Bye.
Hakeem: Goodnight, Blue Bayou. Get home safe.
Blue Bayou: Hi Driver in Crazy-looking Blond Wig. Take me home, please.
Boo Boo Kitty in Crazy-looking Blond Wig: Girl, bye!
