Now, hundreds of episodes later we FINALLY learn who A.D. is and get the answers to every question we have asked from the safety of our couches. Buckle up lies, the truth is finally out.

The girls are drinking their iced coffees in the middle of Rosewood talking about Mona being locked-up how they never learned who A was. Lucas pops in tap dancing and Jenna is on a horse. Thankfully it wasn’t some twisted reality but a dream in Mona’s head at Welby, the mental hospital. When she comes to, someone enters her room and she says, “I never would have guessed it was you. Are you here to kill me?”

One year later, Ezra and Aria are still not married but don’t worry, it’s just around the corner. Right now they’re trying to get their book turned into a movie. How fun! Spencer is back to riding horses and has even rekindled her relationship with her sister Melissa. Toby pops in to say hi and I’m rooting for an official relationship reboot between the two. Did I mention she even bought his old truck?

Emily and Alison are playing moms quite well as they are new parents to twin girls, Lily and Grace. Later, Ali meets with Emily’s mom at Radley and speak in hushed tones. They discuss Emily being taken care of and it’s kind of suspicious. My guess, Ali is going to propose, and I hope she does!

While everyone else is happily in love, things aren’t going so smoothly for my favorite couple Hanna and Caleb. On the business side, Hanna’s designs have taken off and Caleb sold his software to Lucas and they FINALLY bought the loft from him. One of the rifts between the two is the fact that Mona is leaving Welby and going to stay with them. Smart choice guys. Hanna wants to be there for her friend but Caleb is skeptical and I don’t blame him. Within five minutes of Mona arriving, Hanna and Caleb leave her unattended. And what does she do? She disappears.

Hanna and Caleb left for a good reason because they went to Ezra and Aria’s dual bachelorette/bachelor party. Of course it’s at The Lost Woods which Spencer fixed up quite nicely after Mary Drake left it to her and Ali. The best part of this party was when the commented on the loud Christians across the lake at bible camp. The worst part however was Melissa watching the group through the trees in a black hoodie. WHAT!

That night while every couple is getting it on in their respective rooms, Aria receives a phone call after Ezra has fallen asleep. As Melissa creepily watches from the window. After the call, Aria goes to the girls to tell her she can’t marry Ezra because she can’t have kids. To top it off, It’s not really Melissa in the hood, but Mona in a mask. She then facetimes A.D. who says Mona wearing the Melissa mask was just a test. What surprises me about this whole event is how realistic that mask was. Honestly, A.D. must have a great budget.

The next day, Spencer visits Mary Drake in prison. Even though Spencer hadn’t visited in awhile, she tells her mother that she’s there because she needs her help. Oh, goody, I wonder what that would be!

That night everyone is having a great time at Aria and Ezra’s rehearsal dinner, even Mona who is clearly only welcomed by Hanna. “The last time she saw you, she tried to push you out of the bell tower,” Aria reminds her. “Yeah, and she feels bad about that!” Hanna replies. I couldn’t stop laughing. Then entered Wine Moms. Mrs. Hastings, Mrs. Marin and Mrs. Montgomery stand around nursing their glasses of wine reminiscing on that fateful night when they got drunk in the basement. This was probably my favorite part of the entire two-hour episode because #WineMoms are fan favorites. I’ll gladly watch a spinoff about them.

After the party, Aria tells Ezra about her fertility predicament. She was scared he would be mad and he is, but just about her hiding it from him. Honestly Aria could shoot him and he’d still marry her.

Emily confronts Ali about her weird behavior. At the party she saw her mom hand Ali something and wanted to know what it was. After some persistence, Ali confesses that she was going to propose. Woohoo I knew it! Ali throws out the plans she had and pops the question right in their living room wearing a hideous sweatshirt.

After a little rendezvou with Toby, Spencer is in her house when she hears a piano playing. She follows it asking if it’s Toby when Mona comes out of the dark and spits, “Deja vu, bitch.” She then knocks Spencer out cold. When Spencer regains consciousness she is in a high-tech-looking cell. She looks into a mirror on the wall and then her reflection stops mirroring her. IT’S A SECOND SPENCER.

I screamed. I had a theory they would reveal another evil twin like the books, however, I thought it would be Ali’s evil twin, not Spencer’s. Honestly, I’m all here for it.

Mary Drake is also there and says to Spencer, “We didn’t think you’d wake up so soon, Spencer.” WOW. Mother of the year right here. Spencer confronts the Twincer (what fans have dubbed Spencer 2.0). She says, “I’m just a girl who met a man when he came in from the rain.” Cue flashback.

We see Twincer bartending at an English pub when Wren walks in. Ugh, Wren was so five seasons ago, but whatever. He sees Twincer and at first thinks it’s Spencer, until he finally realizes the truth. He shows her, Alex Drake, a picture of Spencer and she gets emotional. The next few days Wren told her everything from Melissa to Charlotte.

Alex tells Spencer after Charlotte (their half-sister remind you) died, she needed closure. Alex’s plan is to leave Spencer a prisoner and assume her life. Spencer spits that Alex could never be her and well, Alex points out that she already has. From Hanna having “visions” of Spencer while she was being tortured, to when she awkwardly asked Toby to kiss her one more time after Yvonne’s death to when she introduced Ezra to Wren at the airport. I hate to say it, but the girl is good and the signs were all right there.

While this family reunion from hell is happening, a cop informs Emily and Ali that Mark Drake has escaped and to remain vigilant. Thanks for the update, dude.

In the cell, Alex continues to drone on about how, yes part of the torture was about avenging Charlotte’s death but mainly being jealous of Spencer’s life. She was the lucky twin, while Alex was abandoned. In another flashback we see Wren confronting Alex. Alex has recently acquired Charlotte’s money after she died but Alex is still playing the game. She tells Wren, “This is about friends. Even when they make huge mistakes, they still love each other.” Wren wants her to come clean to Spencer but Alex knows she could never be one of them. So instead, she asks Wren to shoot her in the upper chest so she can have a matching gunshot scar as Spencer. WHAT THE HECK?

To follow that, Alex reveals to Spencer that she later killed Wren because while she wanted him to see her as Spencer, she will always be Alex in his eyes. Yes, that’s a valid reason to kill your boyfriend. To top it off, she wears his ashes in a necklace. We’re at peak PLL creepiness.

Alex leaves Spencer to go be her at Aria’s wedding. Now this chick has crossed the line. There, she asks to hold one of Emily and Ali’s twins, While across the room from everyone, Alex whispers, “You have your daddy’s eyes. I knew Wren would make pretty babies.” I just can’t anymore with this chick. On a positive note, we at least now know who fathered Ali’s kids.

At the cell, Mary Drake brings Spencer lunch and they have a semi-nice heart-to-heart. She tells Spencer that Alex drugged her and brought her to the underground bunker and has promised Mary Drake she’ll keep Spencer safe. Um, okay. Mary Drake also reveals more about the day Spencer was born.

Through flashbacks earlier in the season, we saw a doctor take Spencer to Mrs. Hastings outside. Apparently after that, Mary gave birth to Alex whom SHE SOLD to a rich couple in England so she could buy her way out of Radley. Mary says, ”I thought she would live a Cinderella life,” which Spencer quickly replies, “Have you read Grimm’s Fairy Tales?”

Mary thought Alex would live a posh life but because of her “issues” she was given to an orphanage who gave her back the last name Drake. Alex Drake, A.D. It was always right there. Mary says that at 10 years old Alex ran away from the orphanage and later became a bartender before Wren found her. Oddly enough, Mary Drake opens the door to hug Spencer who hugs her back. I’m questioning why Spencer didn’t try to run for it but instead, she stole a bobby pin off of Mary for later use. I guess that was kind of smart.

Back at the wedding, Aria receives a text from Ezra saying he isn’t coming. This is obviously a red flag for me. He would never stand Aria up and I’m right. As the girls start calling and searching for Ezra, we see him sitting in a cell directly across from Spencer.

Spencer asks how he got there and he says that while he was making a reservation Spencer recommended, he ran into Alex at the Radley thinking it was Spencer. As he was asking her questions Alex didn’t know the answers to, she knocked him out and took him to the “do-it-yourself dungeon.”

Alex finally returns and the two try to convince her to spare their lives. Turns out there’s another twist to Alex’s motives. She doesn’t exactly want Spencer’s life or friends, but Toby. “He settled for Yvonne, and now he’s free to be with his one true love: me,”  Alex says. Legit, this girl is deranged and Troian Bellisario is a phenomenal actress to pull both of these polar opposite characters off.

Alex does inform the two on Jenna, Sara, and Sydney’s motives to being on the A.D. Team. Sydney was blackmailed because Alex knew she was stealing from her work, Jenna wanted money for a second eye surgery, and Sara wanted a piece of Charlotte’s “hidden treasure” under Radley. Turns out that treasure wasn’t gold, but the file folder.

In another flashback we see the moment Charlotte and Alex finally meet. Charlotte gets off the plane in England with Archer and we finally learn where they first met. Wren sets up the meeting between Alex and Charlotte and after they hit it off the whole group, Wren and Archer included, have a grand time in Europe. Charlotte later decides she misses the A Game and plans to return to the States. Before she goes, she “passes the torch” and gives Alex the Patsy Cline Greatest Hits record. Alec obviously wants to go with her, but Charlotte tells her she can’t and to never trust Spencer of the Hastings.

While back in the real world as Spencer, she comes across Jenna. Spencer is sitting outside Mrs. Hasting’s office when Jenna is leaving and she asks “Spencer” if she’s wearing a new perfume. Alex plays if off but this is a red alert for someone who has to use her other sense to identify people. Jenna immediately Toby and says, “This may sound weird, but I don’t think Spencer’s Spencer.”

Even though Jenna has put Toby through hell for years, he believes her this time. He tells the girls and Caleb the twin theory and they unrealistically jump on board rather quickly. Toby explains it makes sense because of a book Alex gave Toby while being Spencer before that final kiss. He said the book typically has notes in it from Spencer, but this one was clean. Thankfully Emily is the only voice of reason who admits, “Out of all the insane theories we’ve jumped to, Spencer having an evil twin has to be the most insane.”

In the dungeon, Alex and Mary start fighting because Alex promised she wouldn’t her Spencer. Alex then knocks Mary out cold so she wouldn’t try to stop her when she tries to kill Spencer. Geez, crazy really does run in this family.

At the same time, the gang turns to Mona for help. She tells them that Wren came to Welby to kill her, but now, she’s back in the game so she can beat Alex and win the game once and for all. Miraculously, they discover the dungeon is located at the house Toby originally built for Spencer. GO FIGURE! Being trusting Toby, he never knew the person who bought the house. I definitely rolled my eyes at this.

After Alex leaves the dungeon, Ezra and Spencer try to escape with the help of the stolen bobby pin. After opening their cell doors and running through sketchy hallways they make their way outside. Or they think.

Ezra and Spencer stand outside a fake version of Toby’s house inside a dome that is obviously still underground. I’m getting some strong Maze Runner and Hunger Games vibes from this. While they try to find the exit, the gang has busted into Toby’s old home. They frantically search the house until they find a secret passageway.

Inside the dome, Alex comes out of nowhere and smashes Ezra on the head while Spencer tries to reason with her. During the twin standoff, Toby rushes in with a gun. Let me mention, the two girls are wearing the exact same outfit so things start to get extra trippy.

Toby doesn’t know which twin to shoot while they both plead they’re the real Spencer. Toby asks them which poem from the book she gave him was her favorite. Of course the real Spencer starts quoting it and Toby takes Alex into a headlock. True love always knows!

Mona apparently called the cops as they rush in and take Alex into “custody.” Apparently Mary Drake was caught down the road so both will be “locked up” for good. More on that in a second.

In Rosewood, Ezra and Aria FINALLY get married in the chapel that has not only been a murder scene but also where multiple funerals have been held. So romantic. A cell phone goes off mirroring the pilot episodes when they received their first text from A at ALi’s funeral. Turns out, it’s just the creator I. Marlene King playing the wedding photographer.

In the last scene with the Liars they all talk about what’s next. Emison will definitely get married, there’s hope for Spoby, Hanna is pregnant, and Aria and Ezra are looking at adoption agencies. Finally, a happy ending for our favorite Liars!

But I can’t forget about the fifth Liar, well, by association. Time has passed and Mona now lives in Paris where she owns a doll shop. She tells her French beau she’ll meet him at dinner while she locks up. Mona then heads to the basement where a dollhouse sits. Mona shouts, “Teatime, pretty girls,” and a dollhouse-like room is revealed behind a glass window. Inside the room sits Mary Drake and Alex who are both dressed in doll-like clothes.

She can’t keep us here forever,” Mary says. Then Alex replies with the best line of the series, “Of course she can. She’s Mona.”

Now you understand the meanings of “custody” and “locked up.” Mona never called the cops and by not doing so, she was able to do what she set out to do seven seasons ago, win the game.

WRITER’S NOTE: I’ve said for the last seven years that I couldn’t wait for this twisty show to end. But now that it has, I’m sad because I won’t be revising Rosewood every Tuesday night. I grew up with these Liars and I have endured every A, Uber A, A Team and A.D. you can imagine. The characters, the fashion, the quick language always had me coming back and for that, Pretty Little Liars will go down as one of my favorite shows.

And if this show has taught me anything, it’s that two can keep a secret if one of them is dead.

Pretty Little Liars Creator Spills on Finale Secrets http://tvrecappersdelight.com/pretty-little-liars-creator-spills-on-finale-secrets/ Tue, 27 Jun 2017 02:32:08 +0000 http://tvrecappersdelight.com/?p=11771 Earlier this month, during the first day of the sixth season of the ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas, in a dual panel for Pretty Little Liars and Famous in Love, creator of both shows I. Marlene King spilled some secrets surrounding the final episodes of the infamous PLL.

PLL_PanelThe panel including King, Lisa Cochran-Neilan (EP), Camera Dale (Costume Designer) and Jennifer Gerstenblatt (Freeform VP of Current Programming) dished on some of their best and toughest days balancing both shows.

First and foremost, King revealed that PLL fans will hear wedding bells before the show ends for good. But it won’t be just one couple, but multiple.

“We’ve always said that there was going to be at least one wedding, but I can promise you that in the next three episodes, there will be two more weddings on the show,” King revealed.

Since King didn’t specify, I’m now asking myself will it be Aria and Ezra or Hanna and Caleb since they’re both already engaged. There is also a chance that Spoby could be reunited and even Emily and Alison since they are planning to raise a child together. Honestly, the possibilities are endless!

Panel goers also got the inside scoop on a very special scene that will air during the top of the second hour in the 2-hour series finale. While there were no specific details revealed about the scene, Cochran-Neilan told the audience the actresses wanted to shoot the finale scene of production together.

“These ladies that you’ve grown to love, they came to us and they asked us if the last scene of the last day of the last episode, if they could all be in the last shot. In our shooting schedule, it was the last shot,” Cochran-Neilan said. “It will be my favorite moment because everybody was there. It was very late — or, shall I say very early in terms of time — but I will tell you that there was a sincere feeling of closure at that moment. Everybody was there. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place.”

Cochran-Neilan couldn’t express enough how much the actresses wanted to end the series the same way it started 7 seasons ago, together.

When asked if there are any plans for spin-offs or additional trips to Rosewood, King said they knew season 7 would be their last and was happy to know when the ending was to make sure it was perfect for them.

“We built something very special and you guys are all a part of it,” King added, addressing the fans. “The show won’t air after three more episodes, but we’ll always have this. All of us.”

While PLL is coming to a close, fans of King still have Freeform’s new hit Famous In Love to binge. The panel mentioned that a lot of the same people from writer, producers and costume coming from the PLL team.

Cochran-Neilan even told the audience how the actresses of PLL “passed the torch” to the cast of FIL. Gerstenblatt reminisced on the PLL actress mentioning the FIL cast in the “new generation.”

The series finale for Pretty Little Liars airs June 27, both shows are on Freeform.

Pretty Little Liars Recap: “Farewell My Lovely” http://tvrecappersdelight.com/pretty-little-liars-recap-farewell-my-lovely/ Mon, 26 Jun 2017 02:47:48 +0000 http://tvrecappersdelight.com/?p=11752 With just the series finale left, there are still many questions surrounding the fate of the Liars. While all theories are promised to be confirmed (or debunked) by the end, at least two things were revealed in this episode: Charlotte’s killer and who’s going to jail for Archer’s murder. Let the game commence!

PLL -farewellmylovelyAfter seeing Mona with the game via infrared vision, the boys inform the Liars, minus Aria, what they saw. Now that Ezra is back in the loop, he shames the girls for treating Aria the way they did once they found out she was A.D.’s lackey.

Speaking of which, Aria is on the side of a road with Archer’s dead body in her trunk. Super fun. To make matters worse, a cop pulls up behind her. He tries to help her with her “troubles” but she keeps batting him away. Once he leaves her, Aria decides to go straight to the cops to deliver the one thing they’ve been missing in this case: the body.

Thankfully for Aria, Ezra intercepts her as she is making a beeline for the station’s front door. “I’m not letting you make more sacrifices,” he tells her while reminding her that she has an airtight alibi. Ezra then says, “There’s nothing linking you to what happened with Dunhill!” Then Aria drops the bomb that his body is in her car. Well, not for long because when they get back to Ezra’s apartment, A.D. steals the body back.

On the other side of town at The Lost Woods Motel, Spencer meets with Mary Drake one last time. Mary tells Spencer that she has left the motel to her and Alison. It is so the girls can mortgage it to pay their future legal fees. Nice gesture, but honestly, this motel needs to be torn down.

Instead of enjoying their newlywed bliss, Hanna and Caleb do what they do best and decide to stalk Mona. They follow her to Two Crows Diner where Mona was told to go by a mysterious note. Spencer meets them there and they collectively notice how nervous Mona seems. Caleb decides to take charge and storms into the diner and confronts her.

In the booth, he tells Mona he’s going to turn her and the game into the police (because at this point they all think she’s A.D.). Mona informs him that the game keeps getting stolen from her. It’s happened  twice. At that moment, the waitress gives Mona a note. She immediately jumps out of the booth and heads to the bathroom.

Hanna and Spencer come inside and follow Caleb to the bathroom where Mona no longer is. They find the note on the ground that reads “LEAVE NOW.” Caleb finds a secret passage in the wall. He and Spencer follow the mysterious passageway while Hanna takes the car to meet them back in town.

In the tunnel, Caleb informs Spencer that Mona is definitely not A.D. mainly for the fact that “A.D. doesn’t get messages. They send messages.” He also finally reveals that he and Hanna are married. Of course Spencer is happy for them but telling your ex you’re married in a tunnel isn’t the ideal place to do it.

In town waiting for Spencer and Caleb to resurface, Hanna sees flower petals floating from the bell tower of the church. Note that this is the same place Charlotte was murdered. At the top of the tower, Hanna finds Mona wearing her old glasses and pigtails like she was a freshman in high school again. When Hanna asks what she’s doing, Mona replies, “Waiting for you, Charlotte.” Cue the flashback.

It’s back to the night Charlotte is killed. Charlotte is standing at the tower’s window and Mona walks towards her with flowers. Charlotte asks Mona why she wanted to visit her in the hospital and she replies to keep an eye on her. This was because Mona knew Charlotte was lying to everyone, even Ali, about being better.

Mona said, “You’re going to start hurting people again.” Charlotte replied, “Who’s gonna stop me? You? Do you still see her when you look in the mirror? The loser, the pigtails, the frumpy sweater? I still see her. None of you are sure when you look in the mirror. None of you are really certain who you are. I did that. I took that away from you, the same way everything was stolen from me. And now I’m back, and everything that happened before? That’s gonna feel like a picnic.” Enraged, Mona pushed Charlotte toward the window while holding a screwdriver to her back. Charlotte taunted her, saying she didn’t have the guts, but Mona persists saying, “Jump or I’ll push you.”

In real time, Mona almost pushes Hanna out the window but Caleb and Spencer rescue her. After considering going to the cops, Hanna says they can’t while Mona is having her psychotic break. On the positive side, at the car they find the final two puzzle pieces to the game.

When everyone is back together they put the final pieces in place. “CLAIM THE GRAND PRIZE” flashes across the game’s phone with a photo of Elliott Rollins (Archer’s alias) staff ID. The phone says, “THE EYES HAVE IT” and when Spencer holds the phone over the puzzle’s eyes, a little person crawls out on the screen. It’s a very creepy, yet cool augmented reality app and the cartoon tiptoes to a “mystery location” that turns out to be Ali’s Aunt Carol’s house.

At Aunt Carol’s they realize Archer’s stolen dead body is buried in Charles’ fake grave. Before they start to dig Aria becomes the voice of reason. “Do we really want to do this? Do we?… Don’t you see? If we want to stop the crazy, we have to stop acting crazy.” For once they all agree to walk away and when they do a giant bulldozer and a dozen cops come crashing through the woods. The girls come face-to-face with Detective Tanner once again.

While they’re waiting at the police station, Spencer says they should all finally tell the truth. That’s the plan until Tanner comes in to tell them they’ve identified the body in the grave as Archer’s. However, she has one more thing to do before talking with them.

In the next room the two-way-mirror reveals Mary sitting at a table. Tanner walks in and Mary confesses to killing Archer. She also confesses to killing her sister Jessica and tells Tanner that Archer used Jessica’s murder as blackmail so she would continue to do his dirty work.

The girls are dumbfounded by what they’ve just witnessed. Tanner tells them they can leave and unless there’s something they wanted to say. Aria states that up until 10 minutes prior she thought they had done something. Tanner explains the DA is a “simple man” who likes open and shut cases. Mary gave her just that. She tells them to go home and says, “You’re not criminals, not really. Try and remember that.”

Back with Mona, they inform her Dr. Sullivan, her old psychiatrist, will be there to get her soon. Hanna apologizes for showing Mona the game and pulling her back in, but Mona says she liked to be needed. “Just like you needed me to take care of Charlotte. I’m sorry I messed that up. Nothing ever happens the way it’s supposed to with me.”

Cue another flashback.

Mona and Charlotte are still in the tower as Mona holds the screwdriver to Charlotte’s back. Apparently, Mona didn’t throw Charlotte to her death. Instead, she threw her on the floor to show her “what dying tastes like.” Charlotte said she knew Mona didn’t have the guts and the two go at it. In their fight, Mona pushed Charlotte against the wall where she hit her head on an exposed piece of metal.

In the present, Mona explains the police never found a murder weapon because they were never looking at what was right in front of them. In the grand scheme of it all, Mona really did save the Liars from Charlotte — again.

And, on cue, the game flashes “CONGRATULATIONS” and then goes black. The Liars exchange puzzled looks because by revealing Charlotte’s killer they beat the game, but you never know with A.D.

A.D. and the truth to every other lie will be revealed in the two-hour series finale and honestly, I don’t know if I’m mentally prepared. How about you?

Who is A.D.? Starting to think it’s Spencer’s sister Melissa because she always hated Ali and the DiLaurentises or it’s Jason because he wanted to know what really happened to Charlotte. I wouldn’t even put it past Alison.

Best Line: “I have a master’s degree in American literature. There’s nothing I can’t handle.” – Ezra

Pretty Little Liars Recap: “Choose or Lose” http://tvrecappersdelight.com/pretty-little-liars-recap-choose-or-lose/ Thu, 15 Jun 2017 05:51:55 +0000 http://tvrecappersdelight.com/?p=11748 With three episodes left we finally have two Liars engaged! However, we are still no closer to figuring out who A.D. is. On the positive side, Aria was rewarded with the police report she never filed, Spencer got some closure with Mary Drake and Mona, and, well Mona is creating her own A.D. dungeon.

PLL - choose or loseIt’s a nice start to the morning for Emily and Alison until they find the board game sitting on their bed with Aria’s new pieces attached. They start wondering if A.D. is in the house when the police  bang at their doors with search warrants. It was a quick scare for them when they thought the police would find the game, but lucky for them, A.D. was able to make it vanish as quickly as it appeared. The police hit every Lairs’ home and took their phones in the process.

Spencer storms into the station to give Marco a piece of her mind but instead, finds Detective Tanner in his place. She tells Spencer that Marco filled her in on everything, and she means EVERYTHING, and is now lead detective. Goodie. She gives Spencer a chance to come clean but, of course, Spencer doesn’t bite.

While everyone is congregating at The Radley, Aria is at the Brew where she gets a phone call. Since the cops have her phone, A.D. stashed a burner in the vent. At her wits end, Aria demands a meeting face-to-face. A.D. agrees, as long as Aria wears the hoodie. After Aria hangs up we see Mona taking off a headpiece back in her lair.

It makes it seem as though Mona made the phone call, but is that the whole story?

As Spencer hands out burner phones to everyone (expect Aria since she’s M.I.A.), Hanna discovers the phone from Liar’s’ Lament sitting on a platter. It flashes, “CHOOSE OR LOSE. Just one plea, the rest go free. If no one steps up, you all go down.” Then a countdown of 36 hours starts. Immediately after, Mona bursts through the doors and tells them if they want answers, they need to ask Aria. “I think she’s on the A.D. team,” she says.

Mona goes through the details on how Aria keeps being absent when major A.D. drama goes down. She even told them about Aria receiving the new puzzle pieces at The Brew but Spencer wants “concrete proof” and Mona warns, “just remember, you asked for it.”

Their concrete proof comes quick as the girls come face-to-face with Aria donning the black hoodie as she’s waiting to meet A.D. Aria immediately confesses (I mean the girl was caught in the hoodie). She tells them about the police report and how she was trying to meet A.D. No one, especially, Spencer is up for her excuses.

On cue, Tanner calls them to the station and Spencer makes Aria find her own ride there. LOL. At Rosewood P.D., Tanner shows the girls evidence against them including pieces of glass from Lucas’ windshield found in Spencer’s shower drain. Since she can’t arrest them that moment, she lets them leave.

In the car, Aria calls and unleashes her anger on A.D. While she screams about A.D. turning her against everyone she loves, A.D. says that their relationship isn’t over just yet. While Aria is about to throw the phone out the window, A.D. creepily says, “Don’t, tomorrow’s another day.”

At The Brew, Spencer, Hanna, Emily and Ali sit around trying to figure out their situation as the “Choose or Lose” clock dings 24 hours left. They start blaming themselves with Hanna saying it was because she was driving the car, Spencer because she used Archer’s card, and Ali because she married the guy. Emily also reminds Spencer that she should be easier on Aria since, “A.D. convinced you to play the game first.”

Spencer takes that to heart and goes to make amends with Aria, sort of. Spencer starts off by saying she she wishes she could forgive Aria and that none of them are blameless. Before she can continue though, the police interrupt as they return Aria’s files. Tanner arrives and says they found proof that Aria was in New Hampshire when Archer was murdered. Basically A.D. came through for Aria and fabricated an alibi.

While all this mess is happening, Caleb and Hanna are taking their relationship to the next level. Even though they just got engaged, Caleb surprises Hanna by taking her to a justice of the peace. Hanna’s mom is there as the witness to see the best PLL couple finally tie the knot. On the plus side, if they do go to jail at least they can’t testify against each other. Yay marriage!

The next day everyone, minus Aria, is together as the clock winds down. They promise no matter what happens, everyone has to understand their choices. As the timer hits zero and asks “WHAT’S YOUR CHOICE?” Spencer smashes the phone with a rock making all of us wonder why they didn’t do that from the start.

Alone, Aria calls A.D. and tells them she’s turning herself in. However, A.D. informs her that won’t work. “Time ran out. The game is over. And guess what? You won. The prize chosen especially for you is an unlimited supply of freedom.”

On cue the phone explodes in her hand and sizzles to a crisp on the ground. Aria finds her original phone in the police boxes and calls Spencer. She leaves a voicemail saying she’s found a way to make things right. As she says that her car starts stalling. She pulls over and checks her trunk to find a dead body stuffed in it. If her situation couldn’t get worse, a cop pulls up right as she slams the trunk shut.

Rounding out the night’s adventures, Caleb has been searching to the board game and gets a hit on a cell tower that connects to it. He grabs Ezra and the signal leads them to Mona’s apartment. Through a thermal camera, they can see Mona’s silhouette by the board game. Inside her room, Mona lovingly looks at the game as a mini jail cell pops up out of the grass.

Could she really be A.D. or did she steal the game to save the Liars?

Who is A.D.? Part of me thinks Charlotte isn’t even dead at this point and she’s come back to finish them off.

Best Line: “This time around is kind of special…we did kill a guy.” – Emily

Pretty Little Liars Recap: “Driving Miss Crazy” http://tvrecappersdelight.com/pretty-little-liars-recap-driving-miss-crazy/ Mon, 12 Jun 2017 05:24:18 +0000 http://tvrecappersdelight.com/?p=11745 Even though all signs pointed to him, we learned that Lucas is sadly not A.D. Well, he still could be, but if so he’s very good at lying about it. Speaking of someone else who is good at lying: Aria. We know she’s not that sneaky after almost being caught by Emily. It’s about time for the hood to drop, and for Aria to be revealed.

PLL - driving miss crazyWhen Aria isn’t busy being A.D.’s lacky, she’s finally throwing herself into wedding preparations or at least dancing lessons. Ezra signed them up for dance classes but Aria is distracted with A.D. looming over her head. She misses three calls from the hooded menace and we all know that’s not good. When she’s alone, Aria learns that A.D. has the police report she filled out but never filed on Ezra while he was still her teacher. Because there’s no statute of limitation, if police go ahold of the letter, Aria might be having a Jailhouse Rock-themed wedding.

Mona however wiggles her way into the Liars’ fold as she convinces Emily to go to the doctor who impregnated Ali. They waltz into the doctor’s office as a nice lesbian couple, but quickly press him for answers. He forces them to leave and Emily thinks they failed. Lucky for her she has Mona who swiped a magazine with the doctor’s address. After going through his mail, they find evidence to confront him again. Backed into a corner, the doctor said there was never a name but he did give them an I.D. number. We’re actually taking baby steps… to get to the truth of this pregnancy.

While Aria is planning a wedding, Spencer’s parents are about to plan a divorce thanks to Aria. She brings the Hastings takeout as they’re packing their home. However, while doing so, she sneaks a cell phone connected to their home bluetooth system into a box and quickly leaves. Out of nowhere, a recorded conversation between Mary Drake and Mr. Hastings echoes through the house. They’re talking about Jessica’s murder and how papa H and Jessica were planning to do the same to Mary. Of course he freaks out and tries to find the source of the recording but fails.

Spencer’s night doesn’t get much better as she comes face-to-face with Marco later. He asks Spencer if she was ever interested in him or if she was just using him because she “needed a cop in her corner.” Spencer bites back saying if he needs her for a real conversation, they can talk in the interrogation room.

Spencer starts to drive away when Mary Drake pops out of the backseat of the car and tells her to drive in a killer-esq voice. They find their way to the Lost Woods Resort yet again and Spencer confronts Mary about the phone. Mary said she had nothing to do with it,  but she’s glad Spencer heard everything. In a flashback, we learn the root of the argument and the death of Jessica was around Mary wanting to see Spencer. When Mr. H and Jessica wouldn’t let her, she gave the pills meant to kill her to Jessica and the rest is history.

History will repeat itself as Spencer comes home to her parents reading the letter Mary wrote her. Her father goes into another spiel on how manipulative Mary is and that he was just protecting Spencer from a sociopath. In the middle of all this, Mrs. H reveals they won’t be moving and she plans to give up her senate seat. With everything going on, she doesn’t want to take a chance that this job she fought so hard to get, could be taken away from her all because of her husband’s crimes. Ugh, Mrs. H is a saint.

Checking in on Hanna and Caleb, the two sat down with mama Marin as Caleb bared his soul to her. He tells Mrs. Marin he can’t image life without Hanna and says,“I want to marry your daughter, Mrs. Marin. No bells and whistles: Just the two of us exchanging vows.” Swoon.

In Ezra’s apartment with our first engaged Liar, Aria wakes up to message from A.D. that says “You’ve waited long enough. Your reward is downstairs at The Brew.” She quickly rushes downstairs and finds an envelope with puzzle pieces and a note that reads, “CONNECT THIS. YOU’RE ALMOST THERE.”

Bummed it wasn’t the police report, Aria still goes to connect the pieces to the game. There, she gets another message saying her grand prize is behind her. When she turns, it’s the police report in all it’s glory. For once A.D. kept its word.

Now, Aria didn’t do a great job being inconspicuous in the coffee shop because from the counter, Mona witnessed the whole “seek-and-find.” This begs the question, could she be A.D. or could she be onto Aria? My money is on the latter, because later that night, we get a peek inside Mona’s lair where the walls are covered in documents, newspaper clippings and even maps of the board game like she’s trying to solve a mystery.

She’s either a true friend or a true foe of the Liars — only time will show her true intentions.

Who is A.D.? I really don’t believe it’s Mona or Lucas anymore, so I’m really stumped.

Pretty Little Liars Recap: “The Glove That Rocks The Cradle” http://tvrecappersdelight.com/pretty-little-liars-recap-the-glove-that-rocks-the-cradle/ Sat, 03 Jun 2017 05:25:22 +0000 http://tvrecappersdelight.com/?p=11743 All the Liars are hanging by a thread now that Marco is hot on their trail. But Spencer? Well, Spencer’s past has been catching up with her all season but it came to a head after Marco followed her to the woods. For seven seasons she’s been the Liars’ rock; could she now be the one to ultimately bring them all down?

PLL - Glove that rocksAfter a lot of questions about using Archer’s card, Spencer replies “I don’t recall” over and over again. After the first detective gives up, Marco enters to be mister nice cop but the act does not stick. He tells Spencer to get a lawyer because in two days he’ll have Archer’s receipt from that night and if Spencer’s signature is there, he’ll be getting an arrest warrant.

Back at Alison’s house the Liars meet to go over their next plan. Because Caleb created the security system for The Radley (bless), him and Hanna will disable cameras during a staff meeting and steal the receipt. The plan gets interrupted when the game hums to life announcing Hanna’s turn.

The game phone reads, “Pick up my homework or go to detention,” the cell phone reads. “Remember, prison food makes you fat!” The phone gives Hanna an address of a computer store to get a hard drive for A.D. At the same time little A.D.-to-be Aria gets a text that reads, “Hanna thinks it’s her turn, but you’re playing for me.” LOL – sucks to be Aria.

Speaking of Aria, her personal life with Ezra got back to normal real quick. While she’s off playing A.D.’s sidekick, Ezra speaks with the publisher of the book they wrote together. The publisher wants him to tour the book alone because she wants the audience to picture Ezra and Nicole together, not Aria. Lucky for Ezra, Aria doesn’t care because she wants to stay in the shadows as A.D. lurks around the corner.

While Hanna and Caleb grab the hard drive from the computer store, Spencer is out to find her own hard drive. Well, not on purpose. She stops by Marco’s apartment to plead her case which I think is dumb at this point. She tries the human angle with Marco stating that Archer was a monster and basically admits to killing him without actually saying the words. Spencer tries to reason with Marco to let this case slip through the cracks. Meanwhile, I’m screaming at her, “ARE YOU CRAZY!?” Of course it doesn’t work and Marco forces her to leave. As she’s walking out, Spencer swipes a hard drive that had Lucas’ name on it.

Later, the Liars plug the Lucas hard drive into the computer and Lucas’ interview from the night of Charlotte’s death appears on the screen. He originally was Hanna’s alibi for the night, but this recording shows him recanting that original statement. He said he helped Hanna because she asked and he believed she didn’t have anything to do with it. But were the other Liars capable of killing Charlotte? He told the cop, “Let’s just say I wouldn’t be surprised.” Another strike for Lucas in the A.D. column.

No matter how much evidence is stacked against Lucas, Hanna continues to defend him. She tells the girls that “No matter how shady you guys looked, I know in my heart you’d never hurt me.” This would be the perfect time for Aria to confess her wrongdoings; she keeps pointing the finger at Lucas. She also suggests they stake out the locker where Hanna is supposed to drop the hard drive to catch A.D. Ugh Aria, just stop please.

While everyone is spread across Rosewood either at The Radley or at the school, Aria is playing A.D. Her mission was to destroy the newly decorated nursery in Ali’s house that Emily put together. She not only rips stuffed animals apart and breaks furniture, but also splashes fake blood over everything.

Aria is almost caught literally red handed when Emily and Ali come home early from the locker stake out. Ali was pushed by a mysterious someone, so while Emily is putting her in bed to rest, they hear a thump upstairs. As Aria is fumbling around to get out of the house, Emily is walking around with a candlestick like they’re in the middle of the board game Clue. Of course Aria gets out in time, but the sight she left sickens Emily and Ali to their core.

Coming to their aide, Spencer and Aria (acting like everything is totally cool) comes to see the damaged nursery. They decide that Lucas might have a dark side, but not like this. Aria sheepishly asks if Emily got a glimpse of “him” but Emily says it couldn’t be the same person. A.D. wouldn’t have been able to get back from the high school to Ali’s house in time to destroy it, meaning there’s an accomplice. Yeah, pointing fingers at you Aria.

At The Radley, Hanna is trying to find the Archer receipt in the boxes but is having no luck. My guess is because A.D. already has it. Anyways, Caleb comes in to warn her their time is almost up and Hanna is panicking. Instead of leaving, Caleb tosses boxes on the ground and busts a pipe to soak them so they’re unreadable. In the security room, Hanna captures a glimpse of Lucas on the security cameras waiting outside a room before leaving. Interesting.

Lucas’ next stop is the apartment where the Liars corner him. He explains that he did stay in touch with Charles, but as Charles. He never knew he became Charlotte. Lucas does admit he feels responsible for them being tortured because most of the emails he sent to Charles/Charlotte, Lucas would describe how mean Ali and her loyal Liars were to him in high school.

And his comic book? It was given to Lucas with a note that said, “Want to keep your friendship a secret? Meet me at the Radley.” It’s what Hanna saw on the camera but no one showed up. Lucas went to the apartment to find the second comic book the apparently turned the idea of vengeance into a game. Sound familiar? They asked him how it ended and Lucas admits it was never finished.

Well I guess we can expect an alternate A.D.-style ending! Yay!

Who is A.D.? Honestly, there was a part of me that thinks it could be Caleb, call me crazy but I don’t know what to think right now.

Quantico Season 2 Finale Recap: “Resistance” http://tvrecappersdelight.com/quantico-season-2-finale-recap-resistance/ Sun, 28 May 2017 04:13:00 +0000 http://tvrecappersdelight.com/?p=11715 Quantico-s2finaleTo take down a terrorist you have to become one and that’s what the gang has done. It’s been 100 days since Roarke took office and it’s time for the Constitutional Convention. Will they finally take down the Collaborators once and for all or will Roarke eliminate them like he did Alice Winter?

The team is now in charge of recruiting new employees for DISA, Roarke’s new intelligence agency. Sixty-two days until the Constitutional Convention and they can’t find many good candidates. Fast-forward two months, with only two days left and they haven’t made much progress. Oh boy.

At Gold Leaf, Ryan and Alex are happily back together, while Clay and Shelby are closer than ever but not yet official. When the bar closes for the night the team turns their favorite spot into the new bunker pulling computers and files out of the walls and even, the pool table. Way to use your resources guys!

Roarke needs 38 states to officially amend the U.S. Constitution. He has 34 yes’s and 12 definite no’s. The team has to work to make sure the four swing states are no. They ditch their good-guy ways and blackmail the four representatives to have them vote no to save the nation. While celebrating their flipping success, Maxwell Fletcher (Ideology) walks into the door.

He praises them on their creativity in hiding spots but points out how they fail to notice the obvious: new smart TVs with microphones that Peter Theo (Technology) installed. Not only were they caught by the Collaborators, but now they’re out of DISA. Honestly, that may not a bad thing.

Clay mentions if Theo will spy on them, he surely spies on Roarke and the other Collaborators. This means if they can hack into Theo’s systems, they might be able to find enough dirt to take Roarke down once and for all. Alex knows the perfect guy to recruit and  help them betray the country: Will Olsen.

They send Will and Iris (a frenemy of Alex’s while training at Quantico) to go undercover at Theo’s favorite bar to rope him into a threesome. The two go to Theo’s place where they break into his computer system. During that time, Alex, Clay, and a recently recruited Felix plan to sell the information to the Russians for the small price. They need the Russians to persuade Roarke to change the language in one of his currently proposed amendments. For once their plan succeeds without a hitch!

At the convention, Roarke brings Clay into his chamber to threaten him, but Clay gets the last laugh. As he leaves, he places a small camera on the door frame that could come in handy later. In the lobby, Shelby runs into Maxine who is there to protest. She reveals to Shelby that Clay actually kicked her out and “didn’t want to tarnish her good name” in the midst of the political upheaval with his family. Shelby is obviously shook but she can’t wallow in self pity because the plan is officially in motion.

Roarke officially begins the convention stating his home state wants to change the language of one amendment. This is proof that he took the Russian bait. Then on cue, Alex’s face is projected on the room’s giant screen. They play video from the small camera Clay placed in Roarke’s chambers showing he spoke with Russia before he walked onto the convention floor.

Alex continues to blast Roarke by revealing the Collaborators and how they used fear to control America. The team has this plan down to a science. On cue, Iris and Will release all the surveillance they have on the president to 100 major law firms and civil liberty organizations to comb through.

In true Quantico fashion, Alex comes bursting through the doors never breaking eye contact with Roarke. She admits she’s breaking hundreds of laws by revealing classified information but says it’s her duty to the American people to keep them safe from Roarke. Then she gets shot.

So Miranda shot Alex and in the ambulance Ryan is blubbering over her body. But SIKE, it was all part of the plan. Unfortunately for Ryan they couldn’t fill him in on the whole “Alex gets shot” part because they needed his reaction for believability. All he can say as he wipes away his tears is, “How did I do?” Lol.

Will and Iris tell Alex her death certificate is ready to go but it will only buy her time. She plans to disappear for while since she’s been made and well, broke hundreds of laws. In precious Ryan fashion, he will follow her to throw off any tails. How cute, he’s always looking out for bae. Sadly Ryan doesn’t make it all the way to the hangar to say goodbye after having to lose a tail. Instead, Owen is there to prep Alex with her go-bag. They have a precious mentor-mentee moment before she boards her plane to seclusion.

In Roarke’s chambers, Clay comes face-to-face with the president once again. The man knows he’s done and talks about how the other Collaborators can buy their way out from this scandal, but he can’t. Clay sympathizes and leaves. As Clay is walking away, he hears gunshots from the chambers where Roarke just shot himself.

Shelby finds Clay sitting on the steps as Roarke’s body is being wheeled away on a stretcher. She asks how he’s doing and he says, “I won, I think.” Sad to think that this is winning when four of eight Collaborators are dead. Shelby tells him that she talked with Maxine and reveals what she said. She tells him she’s not the one for him and that Maxine is.

Two months later, the gang is together in the bunker. Well, part of the gang. Owen and Shelby are there along with Raina and Nimah who are out of prison, and Clay and Maxine who are married after eloping. Owen reveals Miranda will be in prison for a bit, but that’s the sacrifice she made. Owen is also the new Deputy Director of the CIA to reshape the agency. Congrats!

But the finale doesn’t end there. We flash back to the moment Alex is on the plane alone, or so we think. Ryan was there the whole time. He comes out of nowhere, sits next to Alex and introduces himself recreating the moment they first met before Quantico training in Season 1.

Alex: “You really want to do this? Give it all up for me?”

Ryan: “I’m nothing when I’m not with you. Wherever you run, that’s where I want to be. If you’ll have me.”

Alex fights back tears (and so do I) making it the most pure and beautiful moment in Quantico history.

That wasn’t the biggest thing we learned. No, it was the fact that Aria turned to the dark side after A.D. threatened to send Ezra to jail if she didn’t play double agent. Well, let’s see how the black hoodie fits.

pll in the eye abides the heartAt the Brew, the Liars conclude that Lucas has to be A.D. after learning he was once camp friends with Charles/Charlotte. Hanna and Emily take it upon themselves to search for clues to confirm their thoughts. At Hanna’s apartment, which Lucas owns, remember, the two find an old comic that Charles and Lucas created together.

Eerily enough, the story was called Arcturas and it was about a boy who gets picked on by others and his family. He would then sometimes turn into Arcturas to protect himself. It was basically a book that read, “I’m A.D. and if I’m not, well then I definitely know who is.”
The first of many calls from A.D. begin for Aria now that she’s formally a lackey. But what’s terrifying about these calls is that they’re a digitized version of Aria’s own face. It’s basically Snapchat face swap gone bad.

In not-so-lover’s-paradise, Ezra is leaving Aria once again to go be by Nicole’s side in New York. Aria gives him an ultimatum and with it, Ezra heads straight to the airport. Ouch. When he leaves Aria notices missed calls from A.D. When she answers the next one the creepy Aria face appears and says, “Rule number one: Never send me to voicemail.” She then proceeds to get Aria to spill about finding Mary Drake’s hiding spot and learning about Charlotte’s father.

The next time A.D. calls Aria is on the attack. She flat out asks her creepy digitized face if it’s Lucas. Of course, face swap-gone-bad Aria responds, “Would I tell you if it was?” I mean really Aria you knew the answer to that one. Anyways, A.D. has Aria steal the comic book from Hannah’s apartment and put it in a locker at the high school. Seconds after she closes the locker door she reopens it to find a black hoodie where the comic last laid. I guess Aria is officially in Club A.D. now.

And let’s not forget about the baby mama with Emily and Ali. They two are constantly going back and forth on whether they should keep the child. They ultimately decide to keep the child after a blood test. It not only confirmed that the baby was Emily’s, but also that the father was not Ali’s psycho dead husband. While the two decide to raise the baby together, this now begs the question: Who’s the daddy?

In other baby mama news, Spencer is having a little pen pal session with her birth mother. Mary Drake sends a message in a wine bottle for Spencer reading, “Need to talk. Please. Mary.” Spencer writes back and a day later receives a key that leads her back to the Lost Woods Resort. Oh brother. While there, Spencer waits for over an hour before she hears someone coming through the door. Turns out to be Marco who followed Spencer there and not in an “I want to keep you safe” kind of way.

Marco reveals that he followed Spencer to the abandoned motel because all the parts of his case keep leading back to her. Spencer tries to talk her way out until Marco mentions Archer being at the Radley bar the night they met, or at least his credit card was. Remember that right after the Liars buried Archer, Spencer got a drink at the bar and ran into Marco for the first time. She accidentally paid for their drinks with Archer’s card and even signed her own name on the receipt. This now means that if Marco checks the receipts, Spencer is dead and I mean probably literally and not figuratively.

Before she goes home Spencer makes a quick stop at the airport to meet Wren, her sister’s ex-fiance twice removed. She tries to get information out of him during a layover, but we don’t know what. Hopefully she got something good because when she gets home she finds another note in the wine bottle that says, “You brought the police. I understand. Goodbye.” Wow, does every adult in the town have to be so dramatic?

We haven’t mentioned Hanna much since finding the creepy comic book but, don’t worry, her world is about to get shattered some more. At The Brew, Mona storms out in a panic. Apparently, Lucas put their fashion factory space up for sale before they had a chance to get the brand off the ground. To calm Mona down, Hanna FINALLY brings her into the fold and fills her in on the A.D. and possibly Lucas drama.

When Mona sees the board game she lovingly caresses it in admiration. She tells Hannah the game runs on batteries, meaning once they run out, the game is over. Mona also mentions Lucas might not be A.D. because the game is more mechanical than digital. Because Mona is heartless and a form A herself, Hanna begs her to help her win.

Mona resists, saying the only reason she’s not afraid of Liars’ Lament is because there isn’t a little Mona on the board. While yes, she admires the craftsmanship, she tells Hanna, “Playing with people’s lives like this is an addiction. You’re not dealing with a healthy person. You’re dealing with an addict. I know more about it than anyone…” And what does Hanna come back with to make Mona consider? “Then imagine how you’ll feel when you beat it.”

Back at Ezra’s apartment, Ezra decides to not get on the plane. He comes back to Aria. She apologizes for how she spoke earlier and explains how she’s afraid their entire being as a couple is falling apart. It’s a sweet moment that gets ruined by A.D. once again.

During their reunion, Aria misses another call from the head bitch her/himself. Before the credits fade to black, you see A.D. messing with the digitized Aria’s face saying, “I warned you! When I call, you answer. I need you faithful and devoted… or else.” Then it laughs the kind of laugh nightmares are made of.
Aria, watch your back and, well, maybe answer your phone next time.

Who is A.D.? L U C A S

Pretty Little Liars Recap: “PowerPlay” http://tvrecappersdelight.com/pretty-little-liars-recap-powerplay/ Fri, 12 May 2017 04:38:01 +0000 http://tvrecappersdelight.com/?p=11686 pll powerplayThe Liars are two for three now in ‘Liar’s Lament’ after Hanna didn’t complete her turn. It’s Ali’s turn to play A.D.’s twisted game and a lot of secrets are about the be revealed, including the ID of  her mother’s killer.

The game is now at Ali’s home where the Liars try to figure out what to do next. It was Archer’s finger (Ali’s husband they killed) that was mailed to the cops as punishment for Hanna not finishing her turn. They make a pact to not mess up another round or who knows what A.D. will send to the cops next.

Before we get into Ali’s turn, there are other Liars to tend to.

Spencer comes home to find her father is back. Instead of being out of the country like he said,  he’s been home for a week searching for Mary Drake. He hired a private investigator to hunt Spencer’s mother down and when he’s not looking Spencer takes the investigator’s card.

In the barn, Hannah calls the investigator and gets an address where she believes Mary is hiding out. Without hesitation the two set out on a wild goose chase. There they find Pastor Ted, aka Hanna’s mom’s ex-fiancé. They figure they were wrong and tried to leave but not before Hannah and Ted exchange information so they can stay in touch. Aww, how sweet. Not really though,  because it turns out Ted was harboring Mary. Once they’re gone, he says, “I need to know why you’re really here, Mary.”

After hearing Mary’s side of things, Ted reconnects with Hannah at her apartment. Not only did Mary and Ted date in college, but they had a child together unbeknownst to Ted. That child was Charles, aka Charlotte, aka original A. Ted even worked at a camp for troubled boys where Charles went and they were close. He shows Hannah a picture of them with a third boy who was Charles only friend. That friend, is Lucas. Cue the dramatic music.

Following plot twist number one, Spencer is hit with the next shocker. In the barn, Mr. Hastings scolds Spencer for speaking with the investigator. Like really, dude, you have no ground to stand on. He tells Spencer she was lurking around their house the same night Jessica DiLaurentis was killed. Mary apparently stole the pills after Jessica told her Charles was dead (before she knew he became Charlotte). Mr. Hastings doesn’t want Spencer anywhere near Mary because she killed and planted her twin sister in the Hastings’ backyard.

Seriously, this town is messed up.

Now onto reveal number three. Aria accompanies Ali to her secret destination for her turn which is a baby store. Of course Aria is confused because only Emily knows about Ali’s pregnancy. As they’re about to go in Aria gets a call from A.D. She tells Ali it’s Ezra and she’ll be right in after her. Instead, she follows A.D.’s instruction to meet elsewhere.

This is actually the second call from A.D. after he/she contacted Aria the day before. On the call, A.D. showed Aria a file he/she has on her. A.D. said that Ezra would choose Nicole over her if he ever saw it. This led her to snap and chunk her game piece across the room wanting out of it all.

Now that A.D. wants to meet, Aria is not backing down. She follows the GPS to a limo and inside waiting is Sydney. Offscreen, Sydney apparently tells Aria she’s behind everything. Lol okay, way to take someone else’s credit. Aria is confused (like the rest of us) about why Sydney is coming clean. She says it’s because Aria’s desperate and she could use desperate.

Tired of the B.S. Aria cuts straight to the point wanting to know how she can get out of the game. According to Sydney there is no way out. However, Aira could always switch sides and be a part of the “winning team.” Aria spots Sydney’s earpiece meaning she’s not A.D. Thank goodness, because that would have been real disappointing. Since Aris wasn’t going to get out of the game or find out who A.D. really is, she bounces, but not before asking Sydney why she’s a part of this. “Because it’s no fun being on the losing team,” she says. Gag.

Checking back in with our final Liar, Ali isn’t doing too hot. Not only did she learn that the police are changing Archer’s case from a missing person to a murder investigation, but now she’s in a baby store after Aria ditched her. Apparently A.D. set Ali up to create a baby registry. How thoughtful. Actually it’s not, since earlier Ali decided she wanted to terminate the pregnancy.

Once done, Ali takes the scanner back to the front and the saleswoman gives Ali a gift that was “set aside for the egg donor.” Confused, she opens the gift and sees it’s a necklace with the name Emily on it. WHAT?! To refresh, at the end of Season 7A Emily’s eggs she was donating were stolen. A.D. is playing God and planted them in Ali. Now that is dark.

After all has been revealed, the Liars are back together at Ali’s home minus Aria. They all fill each other in on the mind-blowing information from the day. Ali ends up canceling her abortion appointment to have more time to think about their “situation”, if you can even call it that.

Aria shows up late and plays dumb to everything since she was just recruited to the dark side. Spencer reminds the Liars they have to stay together and not let the game rip them apart (lol). On cue, the game hums to life to reveal that it’s Hanna’s turn once again. She flips out since it’s supposed to be Aria’s, but alas, we know Aria has made a deal with the devil and the game skipping her is no mistake.

Aria immediately gets the text, “Made a decision yet? – A.D.” Well Aria, what’s your answer?

Who is A.D.?: Probably Lucas (after the fun tidbit from Ted’s camp story)

Quantico Recap: “RAINBOW” http://tvrecappersdelight.com/quantico-recap-rainbow/ Thu, 11 May 2017 04:09:22 +0000 http://tvrecappersdelight.com/?p=11633 Quantico-rainbowPresident Haas has resigned, leaving Henry Roarke to take her place. Clay follows in his mother’s footsteps and leaves the team in Owen’s hands. Now that the group knows Alex is undercover, it’s time for them to work together and take down the Collaborators from the inside.

Roarke has been in office for a week and has already signed more executive orders than any other president. Ugh. Roarke also wants to call a Constitutional Convention, the first one since the Constitution was originally drafted. Oh boy, the balls on this guy.

The money and all surveillance information the team gathered on the Collaborators has disappeared signalling that they’re ready to launch their final plan. Unfortunately the team is in shambles with just Owen, Shelby and Alex. But luck is on their side! While Raina and Ryan pout about their situation, the gang recruits Miranda (FBI), Matthew Keyes (CIA) and former FBI trainee and master hacker Will Olsen to help them.

The “B Team”, as Ryan calls them, gets right to work. Will discovers a technology created by Christmas Kelley (Money) was part of a recent plane crash. That technology is being placed into multiple planes nationwide. This could allow the Collaborators to remotely take over a plane’s controls, creating a massive terrorist attack larger than 9/11.

On cue, Raina and Ryan come in stating they’re done with their “time-out” (lol) and want to help. About time guys…. The team learns the code to overtake the plane technology is hidden within Peter Theo’s (Technology) recent “Fun Friend” app that thousands of people have. The Collaborators are targeting planes with Muslim passengers to frame them for the crashes just like they framed Raina for the mall bombing. This attack would align with Roark’s executive order for a Muslim ban in the country.

Alex is at the Collaborators’ headquarters with Alice Winter getting information about the specific planes. When Alice wouldn’t divulge the exact passengers and planes targeted, Alex knocks her out and snaps a picture of the data, sending it to Matthew and Ryan who are running point from the bunker. Alex tries to escape but Alice blocks the exit. After a few kicks and punches thrown, Alex leaves Alice handcuffed to her desk.

Will, Miranda and Owen are at the nearest airport where they try to ground the six planes in jeopardy. They’re too late and all of the planes are in the air. As control tries to contact the planes to make emergency landing, the team realizes that someone has taken over the channels: a Collaborator.

Meanwhile, Shelby finds Clay passed out drunk in a hotel in the middle of Virginia. She learns that Maxine broke off the engagement – leaving him in a heap of sadness. Done with his mess, Shelby doesn’t care and just needs Clay to get the codes that will ground the planes. After a lot of whining and a failed attempt to kiss Shelby, Clay comes through with the code.

Will locates the people interfering with the pilot’s signals and sends Miranda and Owen to take them out. With the codes from Clay and the data from Alex, the team is able to successfully land all the planes and destroy the hacked phones from the innocent Muslim passengers. Take that Collaborators!

Shelby tells Clay to take off his “pity pants” and come back to the team. Clay takes that as an invite to try for another kiss but it’s thwarted when the FBI comes banging on the door. They’re not the only ones the FBI is looking for as the agency visits the Farm and takes the rest of the team to see the president, which is worse than being arrested.

Instead of condemning them to jail or even death, Roarke brings the team in front of reporters and praises them for their good work in thwarting a terrorist attack. He paints them as heroes with the CIA and FBI working together “in the shadows to keep America safe.” Even though he was behind the possible attack, the team’s success just made Roarke look even better in the eyes of the American people. Awesome.

It seems that no matter what the team does, Roarke will always be the good guy. Because of his united display with the team being the face of future change, multiple states have agreed to a Constitutional Convention with changes that will possibly merge the CIA and FBI and also change the face of America forever – the Collaborators plan all along.

The team has 100 days until the Convention to figure out a plan to take them down once and for all. Alex with the dramatics, asks the team the most important question to date, “who wants to be a terrorist?”

Quantico Season Finale airs on Monday, May 15.
