The last episode of The Bachelor to me shows the absurdity of the premise of the show. Take 30 random strangers and at the end of a few weeks with few interactions, marry one of them. Nick is clearly troubled by his on-again-off-again feelings for these contestants. What is he worried about, exactly? In his role it is not likely that he will get to the final two and someone will reject his proposal. So it is more that he will choose incorrectly. The only person he consistently seeks out is Corrine, who shouts to the others that the boy just wants to have fun. Or maybe she is his default because the idea of choosing incorrectly is so overwhelming to him that he needs the distraction from his real concern that he doesn’t really love any of them – as much as he might want to.
I first was all about Rachel, but after the last episode, I think he is just not mature enough for her. Vanessa is the almost motherly figure that I could see him with. Danielle is someone whom I think he would like to be equal to but is not. He said that he is looking for an adventurous partner – that would be more Raven or Corrine. I do like that he has cut women as soon as he thinks it won’t work with them. The women, however, feel they don’t know what to expect so there may be some backing out yet.

Mystery recapper, Geri M., is back from one of her secret missions and sharing her thoughts about Nick Viall’s second week as The Bachelor. Geri is probably skilled in weapons training and intense interrogation, so Corrine needs to watch her back. Take it away, Geri! — Elaine F.
So I already cannot tolerate Corrine. Her ecstasy over her “He touched my boobs” moment kind of tells me all I need to know about her. But more importantly, I am so disappointed in Nick’s response to her. The thing is if he just wants to go for a pair of boobs in his face he didn’t have to go on The Bachelor.
He sent Liz packing because he wants someone he can have a future with. So we are left with trying to understand what kind of future he is looking for exactly. His interactions with Corrine and Danielle M., for example, show polar opposite sides of him — one seemingly in it for the sex, and the other where his reaction to Danielle’s story makes you think there is a real person in there. That stuff said, I just LOVE seeing Corrine do a slow burn whenever Nick is with another woman — her reaction to the woman in the nature girl bikini was the stuff The Bachelor producers just giggle over with joy. She skipped school the day they taught poker face.
Final Score:
Three Shamrocks – Nick didn’t wait till the rose ceremony to cut Liz, and he was finally honest with the women.
Three Rotten Potatoes – He let Corrine keep interrupting time with other ladies.

I thought I would try to watch at least a little of The Bachelor just so I could say I tried. At hour one I was groaning that there was another hour to go. But in that second hour, it sucked me in – not because I like Nick, but because these women are bound to be delicious drama.
Pre-show: Nick actually makes my fibromyalgia spike.
Limo entrances: Taylor, I am looking forward to seeing you psychoanalyze him.
Cocktail party: Wait, I am feeling a strange sensation like respect for Nick for calling Liz out on not calling him.
First-impression rose: I agree with Rachel for first-impression rose or would have liked Danielle, the neonatal nurse.
Rose ceremony: Nick, here is your chance to impress me. Damn, you failed when you gave Liz the rose. I might give you the benefit of the doubt and say you were pressured into it by the producers. Or maybe you just want to have it out with her. But I thought it would have been cool if you sent her packing.
