Empire: Bye, Felicia!
Okay, a lot happened on last night’s episode of Empire. The Lyons were faced with lies, betrayal, heartbreak and drama. They were so busy, we didn’t even get to hear “Drip Drop.” I’m not going to focus on all that right now, though. I want to focus on the fact that Hakeem’s, old lady, Camilla, is a mess and by that I mean fabulous. Every time she shows up, you know you’re in for some top-notch villainy. Last night she took photos of Hakeem, they looked very Sears Portrait Studio, if you know what I mean. When did we find out that Camilla’s a photographer? I don’t remember that at all. Just when you think things couldn’t get more awkward with those two, it does. She is taking care of Hakeem’s wardrobe now. They’re dressed alike. It’s ridiculous and she’s wearing some outlandish blue fur thing. If Hakeem doesn’t watch it, she’ll be making him wear a weave soon. In any case, Hakeem’s parents have had enough of Camilla.
We learned that when Lucious is telling you to get lost, you can’t actually go anywhere. He has a button on his desk to lock the door. I don’t know what that’s about it. Does he regularly trap people in his office or Is this a security measure to keep intruders at bay? It turns out that Camilla is broke. Her business isn’t doing well, she lives in a little flat and is selling off her clothes. I hope she sells that blue fur thing next.
Sadly, Boo Boo Kitty was not in the episode. It upsets me when I can’t type her name, so I’ll just randomly type Boo Boo Kitty, Boo Boo Kitty, Boo Boo Kitty to get it out of my system. I will say this, at least Camilla makes a good bitch and can scheme. Boo Boo Kitty has no strategy, whatsoever. Her shady plots always get uncovered immediately. Camilla can show her how it’s done. In return, Boo Boo Kitty could give her some of those pearls she likes to wear so Camilla can pay her rent. Much more important things happened on the show and you can read the full recap at The Root.
