Hi Molly, thanks commenting! You know, I think he knows on some level, he’s more emotional than she is. They were acting like a couple; he’s trying to make up and she is giving him some major cold shoulder because her feelings were hurt. Abbie went to bed angry.

Abbie was in a lot of pain this episode, first when they spoke (she missed him, the great idiot, and didn’t realise how much it hit her as evidenced by the snort and lookaway). And then her face in the car when he says he’s alone and has no one. Damn, could almost see the cartoon bubbles appear over her head: “What about meeeee?”

Ichabod is more restrained and suitably chastened. Can’t wait until Daniel comes on the scene with some Abbie flirting (or more!) and Ichabod stewing. He deserves it too. You don’t forget to talk to the woman who supported your broke butt (and your dearly departed wife’s). You just don’t. He’s taken her for granted, his Lieutenant, and really should spend the season making it up to her.

All in all, can’t wait to follow up on your recaps, which are always entertaining and spot on. Glad this hiatus from hell is finally over and we get to fangirl and squee again!
