While quite a number of your favorite shows may be taking time off this week the hard-working folks on Gotham certainly ain’t. In fact, not only are they not taking a break they are going all full-tilt gonzo to ratchet up the drama.
Olivia will always prefer the dream of making jam in Vermont with Fitz to lazing on a sunny island with Jake, but since Ballard always comes back for more, he should at least step up his game.
Cookie Lyon took the rap for Lucious and spent 17 years in prison while he used the money from their drug operation to become a music mogul. He didn’t visit her, didn’t give her any credit for Empire’s success and didn’t even put some money in her commissary account so she could afford a Kit-Kat bar or some shea butter. Nobody wants to be peckish and ashy.
Fitz is wringing his hands over Liv’s slut-shaming, but he’s not doing anything. I can’t ship #Olitz when he’s such a wuss. On the other hand, there’s no one else. I’m not about #Jolivia or #Ojake. Wait, do Jake and Liv have a ship hashtag? Jake’s a wuss, too. Olivia needs a real man. Charlie has a set. How about #Cholitz?
Did you notice that Sleepy Hollow presented a show inside a show with the “Whispers in the Dark” episode? Fans campaigned for more of Lyndie Greenwood’s high-voltage Jenny Mills and took a liking to Joe Corbin, a favorite character though he only appeared in one episode. The writers made the welcome decision to bring back Zach Appelman as a series regular and pair Joe and Jenny.
“I think I made a mistake.” You think so Olivia? Impulsively blowing up your affair after you two already denied it the last time this happened was a mistake. For Olivia, not for the viewers, of course, who eat up this drama.
Based on my Twitter feed, I should be watching The Flash. I just viewed the pilot on Netflix. I’m in! It’s vexing to be on Season 1; I don’t want to know anything in advance. It’ll take a hardcore binge to catch up. I went into this blind, so here are stream-of-consciousness ramblings from a newbie.
If Wick is supposed to be the bad boy, the writers can’t make him this incompetent. Wick needs to be J.R. Ewing OS X. Okay, nobody can be J.R. Ewing, that is setting the bar too high. That doesn’t mean Wick has to be Fredo.
