Neil deGrasse Tyson is a little more settled, less jumpy and more ready to listen to his guests before jumping in as he discusses sex and science on the latest episode of StarTalk TV.
You know what’s a really poor life choice for a king? Making a televised statement urging Parliament to abolish the monarchy and put Queen Liz Hurley and the royal children out of work. Threatening that your scheming brother Cyrus will also lose his rank just adds fuel to the fire. That’s the kind of behavior that makes King Liz Hurley a target; he was stabbed and collapsed at the palace gates, so the royal family is rushed to the panic room.
Variety reports that Orlando Jones, who played Irving, has been given the axe. This is surprising given Orlando Jones has been the show’s biggest fan, and the only member of the Sleepy Hollow cast to regularly engage with fans on social media.
Jamie Fraser is nearly perfect. When his new wife Claire mentioned that unexpected time travel transported her from 1945 to 1743 and that she had left behind her 20th-century husband, Frank Randall, Jamie took the news quite well and even gave her a chance to return to 1945, a less violent and dangerous era which would fulfill the nurse’s yearning for disinfectant and other medical advancements. Have you seen Jamie? Claire declined a ride on the mystical portal and accompanied Jamie to his home Lallybroch, where he presides as laird. Jamie, who was wrongfully charged with murder, has been hiding out from the redcoats. Going back to his home seems like a risky strategy, but it does keep Claire safer than she’s been anywhere else and Jamie will do anything to keep his bride safe. Jamie’s sister Jenny Murray, takes a dim view of her in-law; being British in 18th-century Scotland is sometimes frowned upon.

What did we learn from StarTalk and its talk with director Christopher Nolan? Well, first of all, black holes suck, but not as bad as you think.
Dear Sleepy Hollow,
The Sleepyheads miss you. We may or may not rewatch the pilot and “Tempus Fugit,” just to savor the parallels. We may or may not hit pause to look at the photos on Abbie’s cellphone. It doesn’t even matter that we know nobody was around to take those pictures or that we’re not sure if 18th-century Ichabod would use the Little-endian (day, month, year) format or Middle-endian (month, day, year) format to enter his birthday as the password.
