Ichabod (Tom Mison) and Abbie (Nicole Beharie) on Sleepy Hollow

Sleepy Hollow: “Blood and Fear” — Oct. 15, 2015

At Chez Crazypants, Pandora is up to her usual monkeyshines. She talks to herself and conjures a dagger. She also tends to her mystical flowers. Sleepyheads suffer PTSD from feeble flower-magic attempts of Season 2, but none of that is Pandora’s fault. She is a swell sorceress, if Pandora wants to garden, let her garden.

Thanks to Pandora’s monkeyshines, Abbie investigates a death and Crane accompanies her. At the scene, they run into Agent Daniel Reynolds who Abbie met at Quantico. They had a relationship that he euphemistically refers to as a “dynamic.” He’s her boss now. When Ichabod meets Daniel, he delivers the most epic side-eye we have ever seen.

The long national nightmare is over; Sleepy Hollow Season 3 is back and off to an encouraging start. The new showrunner, Clifton Campbell, knows what Sleepyheads endured and is righting wrongs. In the second season, heroine Abbie Mills got treated like a sidekick, hero Ichabod Crane was portrayed as a chump and tertiary characters were given the spotlight. The Season Three premiere, written by Albert Kim, and directed by actor Peter Weller, delivered a lot of what fans championed.

Sleepy Hollow: “Spellcaster” — Feb. 2, 2015

Ichabod and Abbie sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G. Okay, I may or may not have made that part up, but let’s not forget that Ichabbie shippers are still squeeing over this Tom Mison interview and this one. In any case, the show is making it pretty clear that the snoozy Katrina is about to go rogue. Also, we got to see the return of Henry, who is in top form and some stunning moments from Captain Frank Irving.
