Sleepy Hollow: “The Weeping Lady” — October 20, 2014
A woman goes to extremes to best her perceived rivals for Ichabod’s heart. The writers toss Ichabbie shippers a bone. Crane sees Katrina in a new light.

Abbie and Ichabod’s new Scooby Gang member, shady Nick Hawley is back. He’s helpful when it serves him. A tune pulls ten-year-old Sara Lancaster (Abigail Cornell) from her home in the middle of the night and she drifts into the misty woods.
There are rifts this week. The Mills sisters repaired relationship is again threatened. Katrina pits Abraham Van Brunt against Henry. Mild-mannered residents become violent. Secrets are exposed and dangerous alliances formed.
Now that Ichabod has devoted his energies to releasing Abbie from Purgatory, this show needs to add Biz Markie’s “Just a Friend” to the soundtrack. Methinks this long-distance marriage to Katrina might be a little flimsy.
Ah, our beloved Sleepy Hollow is back. This show which embraces and gives a neck massage to every trope, kicks things off with a dark and stormy night. When we last saw Ichabod, he came face-to-face with his centuries-old son for the first time.
If there’s one thing that makes Ichabod Crane more baffled than waking up in the 21st century, it’s suddenly finding himself in 1781 again. Or stumbling into a Revolutionary War reenactment and discovering that this is how history buffs, such as a woman named Caroline, amuse themselves. On the upside, he finds clothing it looks exactly like his old clothing, but it’s fresh. How does he pay for it? Nobody knows. He’s a damn sexy hobo.
Abbie’s at home. Wait, what? The only time I remember seeing her at home was that brief scene in Episode Three. Abbie’s place looks roomy. There is an open kitchen, marble counter tops. She seems to favor neutrals—and mayonnaise judging by that jar on the counter. My OCD side thinks that jar belongs in the refrigerator, but maybe she hasn’t opened it yet so it’s safe to eat. Don’t play around with food poisoning.
Them evil forces are busy. Moloch put Ichabod Crane on notice, the beast warned that he will take Lieutenant Abbie Mills’ soul and Ichabod will be the one to give it to him. Captain Irving’s daughter Macey has been targeted by a body-jumping demon who inhabited the body of a man and a woman in the park. You do not mess with Frank Irving.
